On Friday, June 16, 2008, Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell signed into law SB 246, to be known as the Clean Indoor Air Act. This law, which prohibits smoking in most public places and workplaces in Pennsylvania, will take effect September 11, 2008.
In response to this legislation, we are seeing an increase in the availability of smoking cessation classes. Bucks County Health Improvement Partnership (BCHIP) is offering the following smoking cessation classes this summer. Each program is 5 sessions over 4 weeks. These programs are free.
